PropW Consistency Rule Explanation,Why Do We Have the Consistency Rule?
Published on: 2026/07/09 14:36Last Update: 2026/07/09 14:36

I. What is the Consistency Rule?

At PropW, we care not only about whether you are profitable, but also whether your profits are sustainable and replicable.

The core purpose of the Consistency Rule is to encourage traders to build stable, long-term profitability models, rather than relying on a single day of large profits to offset losses from other days. This is our way of taking responsibility for every trader who trades with discipline — helping you avoid the pitfalls of "luck-based profits" and truly develop trading skills that can withstand market challenges.

This rule applies to all profit withdrawal requests and must be satisfied together with the requirement that cumulative net profit during the current cycle > 0.

II. Compliance Requirements

To apply for a profit withdrawal, the following two conditions must be met simultaneously:

  1. Consistency Ratio ≤ 45%

  2. Cumulative Net Profit during the current withdrawal cycle > 0

III. How Is the Consistency Ratio Calculated?

The Consistency Ratio is calculated based on realized net profit during the current withdrawal cycle. The formula is as follows:

Consistency Ratio = Maximum Single-Day Net Profit in the Current Withdrawal Cycle ÷ Cumulative Net Profit in the Current Withdrawal Cycle × 100%

Key Definitions

Term

Description

Single-Day Net Profit

Net profit generated by fully closed orders within a single calendar day (UTC+8), after deducting trading fees. Profits from partially closed orders are not counted on the day of the partial close; they will be recorded in full on the day the order is fully closed.

Cumulative Net Profit

The total net profit of all fully closed orders during the current withdrawal cycle. Unrealized PnL from open positions is not included.

Consistency Review Cycle

From 00:00:00 of the previous valid withdrawal application date to 23:59:59 of the day before the current withdrawal application date (UTC+8). If no withdrawal has ever been made, the cycle begins from the date the account first enters the live trading phase.

Additional Notes

  • Partially Closed Orders: No profit/loss record is generated on the day of a partial close; the profit/loss will be recorded in full on the day the order is fully closed.

  • Open Orders: Not included in cumulative net profit or single-day maximum net profit.

IV. Examples

Example 1: Treatment of Partial Closures

Scenario: User A has one order and closes it in three parts:

Date

Action

Closing Profit

Counted in That Day's PnL?

July 1

Partial Close

+50 USDT

❌ Not counted

July 2

Partial Close

+80 USDT

❌ Not counted

July 5

Full Close

+80 USDT

✅ Counted on July 5 (Total +210 USDT)

For consistency calculation, the profit from this order is not recorded on July 1 or July 2. Instead, the total profit of 210 USDT is recorded on July 5, when the order is fully closed.

Example 2: Meeting the Consistency Requirement

Item

Value

Maximum Single-Day Net Profit in Cycle

3,000 USDT

Cumulative Net Profit in Cycle

8,000 USDT

Consistency Ratio

37.5% (≤45%)

Cumulative Net Profit

>0

Result

✅ Meets withdrawal requirements (other rules still apply)

Example 3: Failing the Consistency Requirement

Item

Value

Maximum Single-Day Net Profit in Cycle

5,000 USDT

Cumulative Net Profit in Cycle

10,000 USDT

Consistency Ratio

50% (>45%)

Cumulative Net Profit

>0

Result

❌ Does not currently meet withdrawal requirements

V. What If My Consistency Ratio Exceeds 45%?

You do not need to restart the challenge or reset your account.

Simply continue stable trading in your existing account, gradually increasing cumulative net profit while avoiding new higher single-day profits. As cumulative net profit grows while the maximum single-day net profit remains unchanged, the Consistency Ratio will naturally decline to an acceptable level.

Example: The Process of Lowering the Consistency Ratio

Item

Current State

After Continued Stable Trading

Maximum Single-Day Net Profit

5,000

5,000 (unchanged)

Cumulative Net Profit

10,000

12,000

Consistency Ratio

50%

41.7%

Once the Consistency Ratio falls to ≤45% and cumulative net profit >0, you may submit a normal profit withdrawal request.

VI. Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Will my account be invalidated if the Consistency Ratio exceeds 45%?
No. You simply need to continue stable trading and submit a withdrawal request once the ratio meets the requirement.

Q2: Why are partially closed profits not counted in that day's PnL?
This is to more accurately reflect your true trading ability. We encourage you to fully execute your trading plan rather than artificially spreading profits through partial closes. This rule helps you build clearer trading discipline.

Q3: Is the Consistency Ratio updated in real time?
No. The Consistency Ratio is calculated by the platform only when you submit a withdrawal request. The system uses this calculation as the review basis for the current withdrawal. Upon completion of the review, we will send you a detailed breakdown of the results and calculations via email for your reference.

Q4: If the Consistency Ratio is exactly 45%, does that meet the requirement?
Yes. A Consistency Ratio of ≤45% meets the requirement.

Q5: If I achieve a higher profit on a subsequent day, will the Consistency Ratio be recalculated?
Yes. The system will record the new maximum single-day profit and recalculate based on the latest data.

Q6: Does the calculation cycle reset after each withdrawal?
Yes. After each valid withdrawal (approved and executed), a new withdrawal cycle begins, and the Consistency Ratio will be calculated based on the new cycle.

PropW is always committed to providing every user with a fair, transparent, and sustainable trading environment. The introduction of the Consistency Rule is designed to help you build trading skills that can truly withstand market challenges, even as you pursue profitability.
